At Agri-Gig, we take your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use our agricultural labor marketplace. By using Agri-Gig, you consent to the data practices described in this policy.

2. Information We Collect

• Account Information: Name, email address, phone number, and account type (Farmer or Worker).
• Location Data: We collect your Rural Municipality (RM) and home base to power our proximity-matching engine. We calculate straight-line distances to connect local workers with local farms.
• Verification & Compliance Data: For workers, we collect safety certificates (CASA, WHMIS, driver's licenses). For farmers, we collect WCB account numbers to facilitate compliance reporting.
• Financial Information: We do not store your credit card or bank account numbers on our servers. All financial data is collected and processed directly by our third-party payment partner, Stripe.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your data solely to operate the Agri-Gig platform. This includes matching workers with relevant gigs, processing Escrow payouts, mediating disputes, and generating WCB-assessable payroll reports for farmers.

4. Third-Party Service Providers

To provide our services, we share necessary data with highly secure, industry-leading third-party processors:

• Stripe, Inc.: We use Stripe Connect for identity verification, payment processing, and escrow payouts. By registering for Agri-Gig payouts, you agree to the Stripe Connected Account Agreement.
• Google Firebase: We use Google Firebase for secure database hosting, user authentication, and encrypted document storage (e.g., your Skills Wallet).

5. Data Security & Retention

We implement strict security measures to protect your data. Communication within the app is monitored electronically to prevent off-platform solicitation and protect escrow guarantees. We retain your profile data and transaction history to facilitate year-end tax reporting and WCB audits. You may request account deletion at any time by contacting our support team.
